It’s what’s on the inside that counts
The cleaner the petrol you fill up with, the cleaner the machinery will be, and the longer your machine will continue to perform at its best.
Everyone knows what a well-used machine looks like on the outside. But the inside can be a bit harder to imagine. Two things are certain, though:
- Soot buildup or corrosion inside the machinery only becomes noticeable once the machine is already damaged. At that point it needs repairs or, in the worst case, must be scrapped and replaced.
- None of that is something you need to worry about when you fill the tank with Aspen alkylate petrol instead of regular pump petrol.
Think long-term every time you refuel
The cleaner the petrol you use, the cleaner the machinery will be—and the longer your machine will continue to perform at its best. If anyone knows this, it’s Anders Danielsson, product developer here at Aspen. Anders, what happens to the machine over the winter if you’ve used regular pump petrol?
It may fail to start when the season begins. Regular pump petrol, also known as E10 petrol, contains up to 10% ethanol. Ethanol binds water, which leads to condensation in the fuel and contributes to corrosion problems in the carburetor and engine.
Oh dear. So how should you think—and fuel—instead?
You should fill up with Aspen alkylate petrol. It contains no ethanol and can therefore be stored for long periods. That gives you a trouble-free start in the spring.
